Our Early History.

Emerald Law LLC was established on June 29, 1987, and has since then acted in high profile matters, making contributions to various areas of the law.

Then led by Mr Balu Rao, the firm acted in the then widely publicised case involving the Slim 10 slimming pills and the Singapore celebrity Andrea De Cruz. The firm also contributed to the development of the law in Nanyang Insurance Co Ltd v Commercial Union Assurance plc [1996] 1 SLR(R) 441, which is a case often referred to in insurance disputes. The firm is also well known for its passion for assisting clients. The family law practice was led by Mr KS Rajah, who was also one of the then leading practitioners in the family law arena. Before his elevation to the bench, Mr KS Rajah passionately assisted his clients in many complex family disputes.

The current partners of the firm continue the rich history of the firm and are experts in their areas of practice. Till date, they have been consistently contributing to the development and service of the law at the highest level possible.
